A strategic partnership has been established between Toucan Global and DesertGreener, marking a step toward introducing advanced water solutions within the Libyan public sector framework.

DesertGreener is a CleanTech company focused on addressing global water scarcity through solar-powered desalination technology, designed to deliver sustainable and energy-efficient freshwater production, particularly in arid regions.

As part of this engagement, DesertGreener was invited to Tunis, where a series of structured meetings were held. These discussions enabled a comprehensive review of the technology, including its operational model, scalability, and potential applicability within the national context of Libya.

Particular attention was given to the alignment of the proposed solution with Libya’s water sector needs, especially in light of ongoing challenges related to water scarcity and infrastructure development.

In parallel with the technical assessment, institutional and regulatory considerations were examined. The discussions addressed how the proposed solution could be integrated within existing public-sector frameworks, including regulatory requirements, administrative procedures, and government-led investment mechanisms.

DesertGreener’s implementation model was identified as structured and adaptable, offering a framework that may facilitate engagement with public authorities and support deployment through coordinated institutional processes.

Following the conclusion of these meetings, the two parties formalized their cooperation through a partnership agreement. Under this agreement, Toucan Global has been designated as the official representative of DesertGreener in Libya, with responsibilities centered on Public Affairs, Government Relations, and Regulatory Facilitation.

In this capacity, Toucan Global has established a structured executive plan for implementation. This plan includes coordinated engagement with relevant governmental entities, support for regulatory alignment, and the facilitation of formal dialogue between DesertGreener and Libyan authorities. The objective is to ensure that the proposed solutions are evaluated and advanced in accordance with national priorities, institutional frameworks, and regulatory standards.

This development highlights the role of Toucan Global as a strategic interface between international technology providers and national institutions. Through its capacity to structure engagement, navigate regulatory environments, and align external solutions with public-sector priorities, Toucan Global contributes to enabling the effective evaluation and potential implementation of complex infrastructure initiatives.
